PPP Page
The PPP page contains preferences for controlling Open Transport PPP.
You must use Open Transport PPP to connect to your Internet Service
Provider (ISP) in order to use these functions.
To check if your Internet connection is made using Open Transport PPP, open
PPP in the Control Panels folder. If you can click the Connect button
and make a connection to your Internet Service Provider, you can use these
functions.

Check this box to automatically connect PPP before starting the server.
When this box is checked, you don't have to manually make a connection to
your ISP before starting the server.
It is recommended that you check this box if you want your server to start
automatically when the Mac is started up.
Check this box to have the connection to your ISP redialed if it is lost.
Check this box to make the server available on the Internet during certain times
of the day. This is useful when you'd like your server to be available when you
don't need the use of your phone line, for example.
Setting the time
Click the digits to set the times that the server is available. Use the up and
down arrows or keys on the keyboard to set the time.
The server is connected every day between the times shown.
If this button is active, the server will be stopped only after the user disconnects.
If this button is active, the user will be notified when the server is scheduled
to stop. A few minutes later, the server is stopped, regardless of whether any
users are connected.
